Thalente (Talent) Biyela is a 16 year old charismatic street kid who roams around Durban’s beach front. His charisma and charm has a way of drawing people towards him.
His mom named him accordingly, Thalente, which means Talent in Zulu. He is an aspiring young skater who has hopes of becoming Pro. Thalente has been on and off the streets since the tender age of 8 years old.
He has spent the last 4 years full-time on the streets hassling his way around the South African skate scene while trying to make a name for himself.
He is motivated to use his skating talent as a tool to get him off the streets and make a career for himself. His skating is his life and he puts his heart and soul in to the sport. In order to pursue his dreams he needs OUR help were we can lend a hand. If anyone is interested in helping him please visit the “how you can help” section on this blog!
Dislikes:Police, Snobs, roller blading, surf skates, helmets, rails, what they have done to the beach front park, drugs, sore throats, aircon, ah not much else…
