On a roll…

August 1, 2012

What have I been doing?  Well, there has been some contests on the go because of the Maloof happening in South Africa again.  I got a second at the Gateway stop of the Hope Tour.  Also, 4 Skaters are trying to revive the skate scene around here and they help a successful contest called the Big Bang. I placed 2nd there as well.  It was so good to see all the kids around the park and it drawing crowds and sponsors.  I am still trying to push to go overseas but other than that the next big event is the Maloof 28th-30th of September. Image

RedBull Manny Mania

May 27, 2012

My Redbull Manny Mania entry for 2012.  Thanks to Billy and Ryan for putting it together for me and of course Redbull for always holding a good event.

Its been hard for me to keep up with trick-a-day because of all this bad weather. Praying for better weather this week. I am going to make up for my tricks missed with something good.

Todays trick is a front smith flip out. Took a while for me to get it down. Thinking of ideas for tomorrow.

Rained out day and had to fit in a dodgey kickflip at Ballitos local mall for my trick of the day. Will up my game tomorrow.

Half cab nose to back-tail trick-a-day #2 #iamthalente #skating #beachpark

To get me excited about posting things and giving updates I decided to film with my friends from the park and around my hometown.  I am doing a-trick-a-day.  I first said it would do it for 10 days but if the ball keeps on rolling I will keep on posting.  I am not much of a hard core street skater but I would say I am getting a bit better, in other words, I hate it but I am trying.  To start off my trick-a-day this just is a back 50 to get things rolling.  Enjoy and let me know what ya’ll think!?

Lifeguard training

February 12, 2012

What a day.  Went down to the beach and trained like a mother trucker.  I am training to become a lifeguard, wow hey.  You see, black man can swim!  Its a good way for me to get fit.  Everything is looking good.  Im in a happy stage of my life and thank you to everyone.

These are the Ballito Lifeguards I trained with this AM.

Home – the real one!

February 7, 2012

So people are probably wondering, how I blog, how I have Facebook, if  I am off the streets and so on.  So  this is my story for now.  I am living up the North Coast with the Smith Family for a while.  They have been there for me since day one.  Always making sure I have a good Christmas, good Birthdays and I always knew I could turn to them when things were really bad.  Rozz (the mom) and Tam are now looking after me full time helping me get on my feet and encouraging me to get overseas to live my dreams.  I just wanted to say thank you a million times to Rozz and the rest of the Smith Family for all the love and support over the years and especially now while I am trying to sort my life out,  it means a lot to me. Its hard to find people like them.  They have helped change and save many lives before me so I know I am in good hands. All my future plans are looking pretty solid and good things to come.
